Historically, Black Spruce hasbeen used by Native Americans for topical and spiritual practices. Black Spruce is a powerful wood essential oil, distilled from the needles and branches of the Picea mariana tree – it’s also high in bornyl acetate, a chemical component known for its relaxation and calming properties.
Ways to use Black Spruce:
– inhale from the bottle for a refreshing, clear aroma
– add a few drops to a carrier oil and massage into the skin after strenuous activity
– diffuse when working through difficult circumstances – it’s great to help you to relax and be calm
– add a drop to your daily moisturiser to help reduce redness and / or blemishes
Emotionally:
Black Spruce has the ability to balance your emotions and calm your mind. Tree oils are known to be grounding, and Black Spruce is no exception. Also use to promote deep, clear breathing – especially good in the winter months.
