Lemongrass is a tall, perennial plant that has a subtle citrus flavour (and is used in many Asian cuisines).  It also has a herbaceous aroma that gives you a sense of heightened awareness and promotes a positive outlook.  

In addition to its unique flavour, Lemongrass essential oil promotes healthy digestion and acts as an overall tonic.  Lemongrass is also purifying and toning to the skin and is frequently used in skin care products.  It’s also ideal to use when massaging.

Here are just some ways you can use Lemongrass:

• after strenuous activity, dilute with a carrier oil and massage into the skin for soothing comfort
• use to flavour entrees and meat dishes while promoting healthy digestion*
• add a few drops to the diffuser to cleanse your space (blends well with basil, cardamom, spearmint)
• use as an insect repellant – dilute in a carrier oil or spritz before going outside
• add a few drops to a small, glass spray bottle and use as an air freshener
